Specification Consultant (Interiors)

About the role

Reporting to the Specifications Manager, you will secure product specifications on corporate property projects, collaborating with interior designers, architects and project managers on the design‑led side of each space. You will become the first‑name contact for interior designers, ensuring every scheme you influence becomes a specification.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with designers, architects and project managers.
• Manage a pipeline of refurbishment, fit‑out and new‑build projects.
• Develop and deliver specifications from the design stage through to completion.
• Create and present CPD sessions that generate new project leads.

Required profile

• Hold a qualification in interior design, architecture or construction.
• Possess fluent English and a valid driver’s licence.
• Have 3 to 5 years’ experience in specification sales or the built environment.
• Translate a designer’s vision into a detailed specification rather than a simple sample request.
• Follow each project through to order placement.

Required skills

• Expertise in finish and product selection aligned with design intent.
• Ability to deliver confident CPD and technical presentations.
• Proficiency with MS Office and accurate pipeline reporting.
