Specialist Sales Technical Liaison – 2 Year Contract

About the role

This 2‑year contract position supports the Manager Sales Technical Liaison within Toyota South Africa Motors' Technical Services Department. The role focuses on product analysis, dealer communication and technical issue resolution across the Toyota and Lexus dealer network.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse product data and consolidate facts to enhance go‑to‑market studies.
• Compile detailed reports and service bulletins for the dealer network.
• Present technical information at dealer meetings and technical conferences.
• Liaise with internal departments such as TMC, TSAM, legal, public relations and the customer call centre.
• Conduct FTR analysis and issue early‑resolution recommendations.
• Travel to dealer sites and coordinate product fix methods with NPDC.

Required profile

• NQF Level 6 (360 credits) Mechanical qualification plus 5‑6 years relevant experience, including time as a qualified motor mechanic or Master Technician (G1).
• Minimum five years technical experience on Lexus and Toyota models; dealer‑level experience is an advantage.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office applications.
• Experience using Outlook for communication.
