Specialist IT Marketing Systems

About the role

Our client, a leading automotive manufacturer in Johannesburg, is seeking a Specialist IT Marketing Systems to design, develop and maintain critical marketing‑related SAP solutions. Reporting to the Senior Manager – IT Marketing Systems, the role bridges business needs with technology, ensuring end‑to‑end processes run smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Advise business units on IT innovation, research emerging technologies and share improvement opportunities.
• Gather and analyse business requirements through stakeholder interviews, workshops and process mapping.
• Design and document functional and technical specifications for new or enhanced SAP S/4 HANA (SD) solutions.
• Develop, configure and test system data structures, processes and integrations.
• Project‑manage solution delivery, plan milestones, track progress and resolve deviations.
• Maintain and troubleshoot existing system functionality, ensuring continuous operation.

Required profile

• Proven experience developing and supporting SAP S/4 HANA ERP, preferably the SD module.
• Strong business analysis capabilities with a track record of translating requirements into system designs.
• Project management experience, including planning, monitoring and stakeholder communication.
