Specialist Database Administrator – Data Warehousing

Future Work Recruitment is supporting a client headquartered in South Africa and is looking for a Specialist Database Administrator – Data Warehousing. This hands‑on position will play a leading role in building major distribution network markets that use cutting‑edge delivery technologies. The company is experiencing explosive growth and will provide the resources and support needed to build something special.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 years of Microsoft SQL Server Administration experience, including installation, configuration, clustering and mirroring.
• At least 6 years of experience developing on Microsoft SQL Server and administering SQL Server Analysis Services.
• Proven experience in data warehousing and business intelligence.
• Strong background in SQL Server Reporting Services (administration and development) and SQL Server Integration Services (administration and development).
• Experience with data replication (5+ years) and database performance tuning (4+ years).
• Good knowledge of database and enterprise security (5+ and 3+ years respectively).
• Proficiency with MS Excel pivot tables (3+ years) and strong troubleshooting, debugging and problem‑solving skills.
• Experience in enterprise data modeling, architecture design and implementation.
• Ability to design, implement and maintain database coding, maintenance standards and capacity planning.
• MCDBA certification is an advantage.
