Specialist Construction Lawyer

About the role

Adine Abro Attorneys is seeking a Specialist Construction Lawyer to provide legal advice and representation on construction and engineering projects. The role is full‑time and remote, supporting employers, contractors, subcontractors, engineers and quantity surveyors throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate contracts, sub‑contracts and project documentation.
• Manage dispute resolution matters, including claims, delays and variations.
• Advise on risk allocation, compliance and project governance.
• Collaborate with clients and project teams to align legal advice with commercial objectives.
• Conduct legal research on construction law developments and prepare opinions and reports.
• Contribute to internal knowledge sharing and client education.

Required profile

• LLB or equivalent law degree and admission as an attorney.
• 3‑4 years post‑admission experience in construction and engineering law.
• Strong expertise in contract drafting, administration and dispute resolution.
• Proven ability to interpret standard form contracts such as FIDIC, NEC, JBCC and GCC.
• Experience advising employers, contractors, subcontractors, engineers or quantity surveyors on risk, claims, delays and variations.
• Advanced analytical and problem‑solving skills with capacity to handle multiple matters under commercial pressure.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for diverse stakeholders.
