Software Tester

About the role

Our client is looking for an experienced and passionate Software Tester to join a vibrant team in Durban. You will work on new and exciting projects, ensuring high‑quality software releases across web and mobile environments.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse use cases and requirements for validity and feasibility.
• Collaborate closely with developers and other team members.
• Execute functional, integration, regression, stress, scenario and user‑acceptance testing.
• Assist with UAT testing and user training.
• Detect, report and retest bugs, maintaining detailed test documentation.
• Analyse test results and advise stakeholders on system health and corrective actions.
• Perform test automation and test in different environments (web and mobile).
• Analyse logs, investigate live‑system failures and manage software releases to production.

Required profile

• Relevant software testing certification, degree or diploma.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Software Tester or similar role.
• Ability to learn new technologies and work well within a team.
• Experience in the FMCG market or automation testing is an advantage.

Required skills

• SQL and database knowledge.
• API testing tools such as Postman.
• Test automation concepts and tools.
• Experience testing web and mobile applications.
