Software Engineer - YAML Experience

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Software Engineer with strong experience in YAML to help train and improve AI systems. In this fully remote, flexible contract position you will author, review and evaluate YAML configurations that power data pipelines and system definitions.

Key responsibilities

• Author, maintain and update YAML files used for configuration, data pipelines and system definitions.
• Evaluate AI‑generated YAML outputs for accuracy, structure and schema compliance.
• Identify formatting issues, logical inconsistencies and edge cases in configuration files.
• Ensure YAML structures are clean, well‑organized and aligned with engineering standards.
• Collaborate with engineers and researchers to support reliable system behavior and data quality.

Required profile

• At least 1 year of professional software engineering experience.
• Hands‑on experience working with YAML in production or data‑driven environments.
• Highly detail‑oriented with a knack for catching subtle errors.
• Familiarity with version‑control workflows such as Git.
• Ability to work independently and manage your own schedule.
