Software Engineer - Production Support

About the role

We are looking for a Software Engineer to provide production support for high‑performance backend systems within a leading financial services group in Johannesburg. The role is onsite and permanent, offering the chance to work autonomously in a collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deploy, monitor, automate and support scalable real‑time platforms serving millions of users.
• Develop, configure and manage software features according to design documents and enterprise standards.
• Collaborate with architects, business analysts and project delivery teams to enhance and customise solutions.
• Design full‑stack automation for troubleshooting failures and run daily batch processes.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of software development experience, preferably with production support.
• Experience building web applications using JavaScript.
• Strong understanding of object‑oriented programming concepts.
• Familiarity with enterprise web‑application frameworks.
