Software Engineer

About the role

Join Betway Africa’s technology team as a Software Engineer and help shape the future of online gaming. You will be responsible for designing, building and maintaining robust, scalable platforms that deliver exceptional experiences to millions of users.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate user requirements into technical design documents.
• Design scalable software architectures that support current and future cross‑functional needs.
• Create high‑level system design diagrams and develop moderate‑to‑complex web applications across multiple platforms.
• Build, test, and maintain software solutions including applications, websites, data processes and user interfaces.
• Ensure code quality and DevOps alignment through CI/CD pipeline development and continuous improvement.
• Conduct code reviews, champion coding standards and promote engineering best practices.
• Work with project management to define technical direction and plan delivery timelines.
