Software Engineer – E‑Commerce (Remote)

About the role

We are looking for a Software Engineer to join a leading e‑commerce technology team. The position is fully remote and focuses on building high‑performance backend services that power real‑time user experiences for millions of customers worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain scalable backend services in a distributed micro‑services environment.
• Write clean, efficient, and well‑tested code following industry best practices.
• Profile, debug and optimise system performance and algorithms.
• Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions and technical design sessions.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, designers and fellow engineers to deliver features on schedule.

Required profile

• New‑graduate or junior‑level engineer with a strong foundation in computer science.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting while contributing to a collaborative team.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Go, Python or Java.
• Experience or familiarity with distributed systems, micro‑services and cloud‑native development.
• Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases and performance tuning.
• Understanding of data structures, algorithms and system design principles.
• Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines.
