About the role

Zombie Walk is seeking a talented and results‑driven Social Media Manager to lead its online presence for the upcoming Halloween season. This remote contract role is ideal for someone who can create viral content, engage diverse audiences, and position Zombie Walk as a must‑do Halloween experience in Cape Town.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a social media content plan for the Halloween season.
• Create and post engaging photos, videos, reels, and stories across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and X.
• Manage community interactions by responding promptly to comments and messages.
• Track analytics and adjust strategies to maximise engagement.
• Collaborate with photographers, videographers, and the event team to source compelling content.
• Maintain consistency in branding, tone, and messaging.
• Provide live event coverage during Zombie Walk.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a social media manager, preferably in events or entertainment.
• Strong creative skills with an eye for engaging content.
• Understanding of platform algorithms and best practices.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in social media scheduling and analytics tools.
• Ability to work independently while meeting deadlines.
• Availability for flexible hours in October, including event‑day coverage.
