Social Media Manager – In-Office (Cape Town)

About the role

We are looking for a hands‑on Social Media Manager to own the digital presence of two premium retail and distribution brands in Cape Town. The role combines organic content creation, community management and paid‑social campaign optimisation to drive engagement and ROI. You will work closely with the internal marketing team and support event initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute monthly social media strategies and content calendars across Meta platforms, YouTube and WhatsApp.
• Write brand‑aligned captions and create detailed creative briefs for graphic designers and videographers.
• Oversee production and scheduling of reels, static posts, stories and video content while maintaining a consistent brand tone.
• Plan, launch and continuously optimise Meta ad campaigns using audience targeting, retargeting and look‑alike audiences.
• Engage with followers, respond to comments and messages, and manage online communities.
• Track key metrics such as engagement, reach, conversions and ROI, delivering weekly and monthly performance reports.
• Support the Marketing Manager with event planning and execution for expos, activations and broader marketing initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years experience as a Social Media Manager or similar role.
• Proven track record managing Facebook, Instagram and growing a YouTube channel.
• Strong understanding of paid social advertising, campaign execution and platform algorithms.
• Proficiency with scheduling and analytics tools such as Meta Business Suite, Hootsuite or Buffer.
• Data‑driven mindset with excellent copywriting and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple brands, meet deadlines and work independently.
