About the role

The Haven Night Shelter provides social work services, rehabilitation opportunities, family reunification, physical care and support to adults living on the streets. The Social Auxiliary Worker will report directly to the Shelter Manager and will consult with residents to deliver essential social services.

Key responsibilities

Initial intake of clients, ensuring their safety and care
Casework and client representation
Preparation of the Annual Social Work Service Delivery Plan and reports
Group and community work
Pension and general administration
Support for shelter operations and staff
Public relations activities

Required profile

Code 08 drivers’ licence
Social Auxiliary Work Certificate
Ability to interact with clients from diverse cultures and religions
Capability to manage conflict situations
Basic computer literacy (MS Office, MS Excel, Outlook)
Team‑player attitude
No criminal record
Good health
NGO sector experience (advantageous)
