Site STA Engineer – Supplier Quality & Capacity

About the role

The Site STA Engineer is responsible for launching supplier parts with flawless quality and ensuring capacity readiness. The role works closely with the Launch STA team and Ford cross‑functional groups to drive supplier development and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Lead flawless launches at assigned supplier sites, managing Schedule A, PPAP, and supplier quality issue resolution.
• Conduct onsite evaluation visits for priority commodities and review tooling work plans for PPAP compliance.
• Drive robust failure‑mode avoidance through PFMEA, SCCAF, CP reviews, and health‑chart deployment.
• Support capacity studies, monitor supply status, and implement capacity uplift actions.
• Deploy continuous‑improvement initiatives such as Q1‑MSA, health‑chart compliance, and supplier training.
• Manage quality performance metrics (Q1, QR, TGW, R/1000, CPU) using warranty reduction, benchmarking, Lean, G8D, SPC, and Gage R&R.
• Perform new supplier site evaluations, risk assessments, and closure of stop‑ship quality issues.

• Proficient in English.
