Site Operations Manager

About the role

The Site Operations Manager will lead multiple operational sites for a leading plant‑hire and construction company. You will be responsible for maximizing equipment utilisation, overseeing vehicle fleets, and ensuring safe, productive work environments while meeting client expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor plant equipment, vehicles, operators and personnel across several sites.
• Maintain productivity targets, safety standards and client satisfaction levels.
• Manage load‑haul, screening and reclamation activities on site.
• Travel between sites as required and work extended hours to resolve operational issues.
• Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory responsibilities associated with site management.

Required profile

• Grade 12 (Matric) with a relevant Diploma or Degree in Operations Management, Construction Management, Civil/Mechanical Engineering, Project Management or Logistics Management.
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in construction, earth‑moving, plant‑hire or heavy‑equipment operations.
• At least 5 years in a managerial role with proven site‑level responsibility.
• Valid Code B driver’s licence and reliable personal transport.
• Medically fit to access operational sites and willing to travel.

Required skills

• Experience with reclamation sites, load‑haul and screening processes.
