Site Manager / Site Agent – Construction Projects

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Site Manager / Site Agent to lead premium residential, boutique hotel and commercial construction projects in the Southern Suburbs of Cape Town. The role involves overseeing daily site operations, ensuring quality workmanship, safety, and timely delivery within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily site activities from start‑up to handover.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and on‑site labour.
• Monitor progress against programme milestones and budgets.
• Ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, building regulations and health & safety standards.
• Conduct regular site inspections, quality control checks and resolve technical issues.
• Oversee procurement, material deliveries and resource utilisation.
• Prepare progress reports and communicate updates to clients, consultants and management.

Required profile

• National Diploma or Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Building Science or related field.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Site Manager, Site Agent or Senior Foreman on residential, hospitality or commercial projects.
• Strong knowledge of South African building regulations and H&S requirements.
• Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel between sites.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with construction reporting systems.
• Familiarity with CCS, MS Project or similar construction management software.
