Site Engineer – Krugersdorp

About the role

Our client, a specialist engineering services firm, is looking for a technically‑minded Site Engineer to join their growing team in Krugersdorp, Gauteng. The role involves delivering heavy‑civil, mining, industrial or infrastructure projects across South Africa and the wider African region.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day site delivery, ensuring quality, safety and compliance with QCPs.
• Control costs using CCS, including forecasting, reporting and productivity analysis.
• Develop and maintain short‑term plans, progress tracking sheets and resource schedules.
• Coordinate subcontractors, procurement, plant and labour to keep multiple activities on track.
• Analyse data in Excel to identify trends, improve reporting and support decision‑making.

Required profile

• 5–7 years solid construction‑site experience with a Tier 1/2 civil contractor.
• BSc/BEng/BTech in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Strong practical construction knowledge and a desire to progress to Site Agent or Project Manager.
• Willingness to travel and work on remote projects throughout South Africa and Southern Africa.

• Excel – advanced spreadsheet modelling and data processing.
• Cost Control System (CCS) – cost control, allowables, forecasting and reporting.
• Short‑term planning, progress tracking and resource planning.
• Productivity measurement and programme updates.
