About the role
The University is seeking a Shuttle Inspector to ensure safe, reliable, and professional transport services for students and staff. You will be responsible for monitoring and inspecting the university fleet and student shuttles, contributing to on‑time and secure travel across campus.
Key responsibilities
- Inspect fleet vehicles and shuttles to verify safety and compliance.
- Continuously monitor shuttle operations and report any service problems.
- Maintain student safety standards during transport.
- Perform administrative duties related to shuttle and fleet services.
Required profile
- Good interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Highly trustworthy and reliable.
- In‑depth knowledge of vehicle operating licences, route and charter permits, and relevant legislation such as the NLTA.
- Ability to work under pressure and flexibility to work after hours.
- Grade 12 or equivalent (technical qualification in logistics preferred).
- 2‑5 years of relevant experience.
- Valid driving licence (PDP advantageous).
Required skills
- Computer literacy (general word‑processing skills).
- Valid driving licence.
