Showroom Manager – Maponya Mall

About the role

homechoice, a leading South African homeware retailer, is seeking a Showroom Manager for its Maponya Mall location. The role is responsible for overall performance and day‑to‑day management of the showroom, driving sales, ensuring operational excellence and delivering an exceptional customer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Drive showroom sales performance against targets, budgets and growth objectives.
• Lead daily performance discussions, set sales priorities and monitor individual and team metrics.
• Ensure high‑quality customer experience, manage escalations and communicate promotions.
• Motivate and develop a diverse team, oversee scheduling, leave and performance management.
• Maintain visual merchandising standards, conduct floor walks and implement corrective actions.
• Manage controllable expenses, cash handling, reconciliations and financial reporting.
• Oversee stock management, shrinkage control and accurate stock file updates.
• Ensure compliance with policies, governance standards and system access requirements.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a retail, sales‑driven environment.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience leading and managing teams.
• Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent qualification.
• Tertiary qualification in Retail, Sales or Marketing.
• Clear credit and criminal record.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience using retail point‑of‑sale and inventory systems.
