Short Term Insurance Underwriter (Personal & Commercial Lines)

About the role
We are seeking a motivated Short Term Insurance Underwriter to manage both personal and commercial lines. The role involves evaluating risks, processing policies, and providing support to our account executives while delivering excellent customer service.
Key responsibilities
- Liaise with personal and commercial clients to understand their insurance needs.
- Underwrite short‑term insurance policies and assess risk profiles.
- Process renewals, endorsements, cancellations, and retentions.
- Load quotes for Account Executives and issue new business.
- Provide administrative support, handle refunds, credit control, and client queries.
Required profile
- Matric qualification.
- Own a car.
- RE5 certification and 60+ FAIS credits.
- Minimum 3 years underwriting experience in short‑term personal and commercial lines.
- Experience in a binder broker, UMA, MUA, or insurance company.
- Proven ability to perform quotation and renewal comparisons.

What we offer
- Competitive salary ranging from R17 500 to R22 500 per month (cost to company).
- Full‑time permanent position.
