Short-term Insurance Adviser – Cape Town

About the role

The purpose of the role is to provide new and existing clients with professional and relevant short‑term insurance advice and products that meet their needs. You will market a range of Santam Group products, build your own portfolio and develop long‑term client relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Generate new business sales for personal and commercial lines.
• Manage client services, renewals and policy amendments.
• Prospect and acquire new clients through networking, social media and referrals.
• Conduct comprehensive fact‑finding, financial needs analysis and present suitable insurance solutions.
• Maintain ethical, compliant client interactions and provide ongoing service to retain loyalty.
• Document activities, track leads, and report on contacts, appointments and revenue against targets.

Required profile

• Matric/Grade 12 with a short‑term insurance qualification (NQF 4) or FAIS credits.
• Minimum 2 years sales experience in short‑term insurance (personal and commercial lines).
• RE5 certification, good written and verbal communication, clear credit and criminal record.
• Own transport and a valid driver’s licence.
