Short-Term Insurance Administrator (VS 23)

About the role

Our client is a well‑established South African insurance brokerage and financial advisory firm that provides tailored short‑term insurance solutions and comprehensive financial planning. The Short‑Term Insurance Administrator will support quotation preparation, underwriting assistance, claims processing and policy administration for both personal and commercial clients. The position is based in Faerie Glen, Pretoria and requires occasional travel to client sites.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and manage short‑term insurance quotations.
• Assist underwriting teams and process policy alterations.
• Handle insurance claims from intake to settlement.
• Manage policy renewals and commercial insurance policies.
• Liaise with insurance companies and maintain accurate client and policy records.
• Utilise insurance systems to capture information correctly.
• Maintain policy‑related documentation and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

Required profile

• Matric (RE5) or NQF Level 5 qualification.
• Minimum two years’ experience in the insurance industry, including commercial insurance.
• Experience with short‑term insurance quotations, underwriting, claims, policy alterations and renewals.
• Knowledge of various insurance companies.
• Computer literate, including proficiency in Excel and Word.
• Strong attention to detail and highly organised administrative skills.
• Self‑starter with an innovative approach and willingness to travel.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
