SHEQ Officer - Gauteng (Centurion)

Join Adcorp Group as an SHE Officer and make an impact that matters. The role involves coordinating SHEQ service providers, ensuring compliance with regulations, and promoting safety awareness across construction sites.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate SHEQ service providers and review compliance with regional rules.
• Ensure SHEQ meetings are held, recorded and controlled.
• Enforce contractor compliance and conduct accident investigations when required.
• Assist management with implementation and updates of the SHEQ management system.
• Maintain document and data control systems and promote SHEQ awareness.
• Monitor audit findings, recommend corrective actions and conduct risk assessments.
• Issue non‑conformances and ensure objectives and targets for SHEQ compliance are set.
• Maintain training registers, site safety files and develop employee ownership of the SHEQ system.
• Conduct regular awareness training and ensure health‑safety representative, first‑aider and fire‑fighter training is up to date.
• Assist in budget preparation and manage client relationships, providing timely feedback and query resolution.

Required profile

• National Senior Certificate / Matric and SAMTRAC Certificate or equivalent occupational SHE training.
• National Diploma or equivalent in Health & Safety Management.
• First Aid Level 2 and Basic Fire Prevention Certificate.
• Registered Professional Construction Health & Safety Officer under SACPCMP.
• Minimum 1‑2 years experience monitoring and auditing contractor safety performance.
• Experience implementing health and safety in a complex industrial environment and knowledge of OHSAS 18001/14001 and ISO 9001.

• First Aid Level 2

• Knowledge of OHSAS 18001, ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 standards
