SHE IMS Practitioner (Safety, Health & Environment)

About the role

The SHE IMS Practitioner will support Sasol’s Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) objectives by measuring, reviewing and reporting performance, coordinating audits, and managing service‑provider contracts. The role focuses on change management, communication and stakeholder engagement to drive zero‑harm and sustainability across the Secunda operations.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and implement SHE change‑management and communication plans.
• Provide inputs to the Governance, SHE Risk and Assurance strategy and translate them into actionable plans.
• Coordinate SHE audit scheduling, service‑provider notifications and auditor logistics.
• Administer service‑provider contracts, monitor invoicing, SLA compliance and payments.
• Design and deliver communication solutions, collate accurate SHE material and maintain two‑way communication platforms.
• Engage external stakeholders, including government departments, on SHE legal compliance and enquiries.
• Prepare internal SHE communications such as incident reports, learnings, alerts, safety moments and meeting minutes.
• Manage the communication of changes to SHE documents and external community outreach.
• Define risk‑based SHE competency levels, coordinate learning material updates and oversee competency management through talent and learning processes.

Required profile

• Proven experience in SHE change management, communication and stakeholder engagement.
• Strong ability to coordinate contracts, audit schedules and service‑provider logistics.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for internal and external audiences.
• Capability to analyse SHE information, update learning content and support competency development.
