Service Engineer – InVivo (Durban, South Africa)

About the role

Join Siemens Healthineers as a Service Engineer for the InVivo portfolio, based in Durban, South Africa. You will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance of medical imaging equipment and supporting customers throughout the product lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Install, commission, maintain, and evaluate customer equipment and systems.
• Provide remote and onsite 2nd‑ and 3rd‑level user support for arising issues.
• Contribute to the improvement of internal tools, processes, and data repositories.
• Participate in estimation, planning, and review of technical tasks for project acquisition and management.
• Assist in technical design, development of service offerings, and manage sub‑contractors.
• Support all service processes to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
• Engage in training, self‑study, and knowledge transfer within the Customer Service Team.

Required profile

• Self‑managed and target‑oriented approach to delivering technical solutions.
• Ability to communicate effectively with the Customer Care Centre and follow operative advice.
• Willingness to escalate incidents according to defined parameters.
• Commitment to continuous learning and skill development.
