Senior Technical Sales (Renewable Energy)

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Technical Sales professional to join a leading renewable‑energy investment company in South Africa. You will sell funded solar and battery‑storage solutions to commercial and industrial customers, helping them lower electricity costs and improve power reliability.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and prospect high‑energy‑consumption businesses across manufacturing, mining, agriculture and commercial sectors.
• Build and nurture relationships with plant managers, engineering managers, operations directors and owners.
• Present and negotiate funded solar and battery‑storage projects that meet customer needs.
• Collaborate with engineering, commercial and project‑development teams to design and deliver solutions.
• Maintain a robust sales pipeline and achieve agreed‑upon revenue targets.

Required profile

• At least five years of technical B2B sales experience.
• Proven track record of winning new business and an established network in manufacturing, mining, industrial, commercial or agricultural sectors.
• Experience selling complex technical products or engineering services to senior decision‑makers.
• Self‑starter hunter mindset – you create opportunities rather than wait for them.
• Renewable‑energy experience is a plus but not mandatory.
