Senior Systems Engineer – Platforms

About the role

We are looking for a senior, hands‑on technical specialist to own the end‑to‑end operational management, security and resilience of our core Microsoft infrastructure, identity and data‑protection platforms. The role ensures availability, compliance and recoverability across production and non‑production environments.

Key responsibilities

• Own and operate Microsoft Windows Server environments – installation, configuration, patching, upgrades and fault resolution.
• Provide primary operational ownership of on‑premises Active Directory, including domain services, replication, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP and authentication.
• Administer cloud identity services (Microsoft Entra ID / Azure AD) and hybrid identity operations.
• Manage Microsoft Office 365 services, ensuring availability and configuration integrity.
• Maintain Microsoft SCOM for monitoring, alerting and performance visibility.
• Operate Microsoft SCCM and Intune for endpoint and server patching, software deployment and compliance reporting.
• Administer VMware virtualization platforms – capacity, performance, lifecycle and incident resolution.
• Support Exchange on‑premises and online – capacity, performance and lifecycle management.
• Lead enterprise backup and data‑protection platforms, execute restore operations and support disaster‑recovery testing.
• Lead complex incidents, perform root‑cause analysis and implement permanent remediation.

Required profile

• Senior‑level professional with extensive hands‑on experience in Microsoft server and identity technologies.
• Proven ability to manage large‑scale infrastructure, ensure security and meet RPO/RTO targets.
• Strong analytical skills for incident investigation and remediation.
