Senior Specialist – DC Operations, Inventory & Inbound

About the role

The Senior Specialist will own end‑to‑end inventory control, inbound operations governance, and B2B returns management for the South Africa Distribution Centre. Acting as the custodian of inventory accuracy, the role ensures alignment between physical stock, the 3PL Warehouse Management System and SAP S/4HANA, while driving continuous improvement across all warehouse activities.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain physical‑to‑system inventory accuracy of >99% across the DC.
• Monitor and validate system interfaces between the 3PL WMS and SAP S/4HANA, performing bi‑weekly stock match checks.
• Lead inventory reconciliation, investigate variances, and implement corrective actions.
• Oversee inbound receiving performance and B2B returns processes to meet service level agreements.
• Produce compliance reports, audit findings, and root‑cause analyses for inventory mismatches.
• Collaborate with IT, supply‑chain systems, finance, customer service and commercial teams to ensure data integrity and operational efficiency.

Required profile

• Proven experience in inventory control, warehouse operations or supply‑chain logistics within a distribution centre environment.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to lead cross‑functional investigations and drive corrective actions.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills and a proactive, results‑oriented attitude.
