Senior Software Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead our software engineering team for a leading electronic company in Pretoria‑East. The role involves driving the development of embedded digital communication software and acting as the primary technical liaison for international clients.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a software engineering team in an Agile environment.
• Collaborate with hardware, test engineers and international client engineering divisions.
• Oversee project planning, execution and delivery of software components.
• Conduct high‑level design workshops, design reviews and develop Acceptance Test Procedures (ATPs).
• Develop, integrate and test embedded digital communication software modules.

Required profile

• BEng in Electronic or Computer Engineering (Masters degree advantageous).
• 5‑10 years of software engineering experience.
• 2‑5 years of experience leading a software engineering team.
• Comfortable acting as point of contact for international clients.
• South African citizenship.
