Senior Service Sales Specialist – Sub‑Saharan Africa

About the role

Our client is looking for an experienced Senior Service Sales Specialist to accelerate growth of service offerings across Sub‑Saharan Africa in the industrial and engineering sectors. You will lead business development, manage key accounts and drive revenue through upgrades, retrofits and digital service contracts.

Key responsibilities

• Drive service sales across assigned territories by prospecting, engaging customers and expanding the installed base.
• Develop and execute regional sales strategies to meet revenue and market‑share targets.
• Identify new opportunities using market intelligence, industry trends and competitive analysis.
• Build and maintain relationships with end‑users, channel partners and internal teams.
• Manage pipelines, forecasts and CRM activities.
• Represent the organisation at meetings, trade shows, conferences and networking events.
• Negotiate and close service agreements, upgrades, maintenance contracts and digital service projects.
• Support strategic account development and customer retention initiatives.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automation or a related technical field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in service sales, solution or value‑based selling within an industrial or engineering environment.
• Proven track record selling technical solutions across Sub‑Saharan Africa.
• Strong exposure to mining, oil & gas, cement, minerals, metals, utilities or heavy‑industry sectors.
• Demonstrated success developing business across multiple African countries and cultures.
• Fluency in English and either French or Portuguese (written and spoken).
• Valid driver’s licence, passport and willingness to travel extensively.
• Advantageous: qualifications in Business, Sales or Marketing and an established network in African industrial sectors.
