Senior Scrum Master / Agile Lead

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Scrum Master / Agile Lead to join an established insurance client on a hybrid contract basis. The role will be based in Cape Town (with the possibility to work from Johannesburg) and will focus on driving agile delivery across multiple development teams.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, reviews and retrospectives.
• Lead agile release planning and coordinate with product owners to ensure clear backlog prioritisation.
• Support teams in planning and executing releases, removing impediments and fostering continuous improvement.
• Coach high‑performing, cross‑functional teams through servant‑leadership principles.
• Collaborate with DevOps and engineering teams to align on CI/CD pipelines and delivery standards.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of experience as a Scrum Master or Agile Lead.
• Strong understanding of agile frameworks such as Scrum, Kanban and SAFe.
• Good knowledge of infrastructure concepts and cloud services.
