Senior Sales Manager – Manufacturing

About the role

Mpact Plastics is looking for a proactive Senior Sales Manager to lead its sales activities at the Pinetown manufacturing site. You will be responsible for driving new business, managing key accounts and guiding the internal sales team to maximise profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Generate new sales by guiding prospects from first contact through demonstrations, pricing, negotiations and contract signing.
• Expand and deepen the existing customer base while increasing overall sales volumes.
• Maintain strong relationships with customers, address queries and complaints together with the SHEQ Manager.
• Approve price requests outside formal pricing, ensure profit margins are protected.
• Develop and implement sales strategies aligned with divisional goals, monitor targets, budgets and call cycles.
• Set annual sales and expense budgets, produce monthly forecasts and reports.
• Identify new markets, maintain market intelligence on competitors and product trends.
• Oversee stock levels, monitor debtor accounts and drive innovation where possible.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Commerce, Sales or Business Management.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar sales management role with a proven record of achievement.
• Fluent in English (spoken, written, read) and hold a valid driver’s licence.
• Experience in the plastic manufacturing industry is preferred.
• Ability to work independently and lead a team.

• Proficiency with MS Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
