Senior Refrigeration Project Manager

About the role

Our client, a leading South African specialist in commercial refrigeration design, manufacture and installation, is seeking a Senior Refrigeration Project Manager. The role will oversee end‑to‑end delivery of high‑value refrigeration projects for national retailers, ensuring safety, quality and client satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage commercial and industrial refrigeration projects from inception through commissioning and final hand‑over.
• Develop and control project plans, schedules, budgets and resource allocation.
• Coordinate internal technical teams, installation crews, subcontractors and all project stakeholders.
• Identify new business opportunities within the retail and commercial refrigeration market.
• Maintain strong client relationships and ensure exceptional customer service throughout the project lifecycle.
• Oversee commissioning, testing, sign‑off and final hand‑over of refrigeration systems.
• Monitor project performance, compliance with industry standards, company procedures and safety regulations.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across project execution.
• Prepare and monitor project documentation, reporting and progress updates.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading commercial or industrial refrigeration projects.
• Strong ability to manage multiple high‑value projects simultaneously.
• Excellent client‑facing skills and a track record of building lasting relationships.
• Solid understanding of safety regulations and industry standards in refrigeration.
