Senior Quantity Surveyor & QS Manager – Multiple Construction Roles

About the role

Damon At Sons Construction is looking for experienced professionals to lead its Quantity Surveying department and manage key construction projects in Johannesburg. The successful candidate will combine strong leadership with hands‑on execution, ensuring accurate cost control, contract compliance, and seamless site delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the QS team, establishing reporting standards and ensuring compliance with JBCC contracts.
• Prepare, review and finalise Bills of Quantities, cost estimates and tender documents.
• Oversee multiple construction sites, coordinating Site Agents and Site Managers to meet project milestones.
• Maintain transparent project planning using MS Projects, CCS (Candy) and BuildSmart.
• Manage day‑to‑day site operations, quality standards and handover of warehouse projects.

Required profile

• Proven senior experience in quantity surveying, project or contracts management within the construction sector.
• Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and deliver end‑to‑end warehouse projects.
• Strong knowledge of South African construction contracts, especially JBCC.
