Senior Quantity Surveyor – Mining/EPCM

About the role

Our client, a professional quantity surveying and project management firm serving the mining industry, is looking for a senior quantity surveyor to lead mining and EPCM projects. The role is based in Randburg, Gauteng and is a permanent, full‑time position.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute mining & engineering projects from stage 1 to stage 6.
• Manage project procurement and prepare comprehensive documentation such as feasibility studies, cost estimates, preliminary budgets, elemental estimates, BOQ production, final accounts and fee proposals.
• Prepare contract documentation, adjudication reports, cost reports and payment progress schedules.
• Administer complex mining & engineering contracts, including cost control, cash‑flow projections, valuation of construction projects and value engineering.
• Address budget constraints and logistical challenges to keep projects on track.
• Supervise and mentor junior quantity surveyors.

Required profile

• BSc (Hons) in Quantity Surveying.
• Professional registration with the South African Council for the Quantity Surveying Profession (SACQSP) – non‑negotiable.
• Minimum 9 years post‑qualification experience in mining, EPCM or SMPP – non‑negotiable.
