About the role
The Senior Quantity Surveyor will lead the commercial, contractual and financial management of construction projects in Johannesburg. You will ensure cost control, value optimisation and risk mitigation while delivering projects within approved budgets and timelines.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and manage project budgets and cost plans.
- Monitor project expenditure, cash flow and cost reporting.
- Measure and value work completed on‑site.
- Prepare, evaluate and manage tenders and procurement packages.
- Administer contracts, assess variations, claims and final accounts.
- Identify and mitigate commercial risks and ensure statutory compliance.
- Work closely with procurement to source materials and assess contractor viability.
- Track costs, procure subcontractors and certify payments.
- Provide commercial advice to project managers and stakeholders.
Required profile
- Proven experience in quantity surveying or construction cost management.
- Strong numerical and analytical abilities.
- Ability to manage workload and meet deadlines.
- Valid driver’s licence.
