Senior Quality Manager (Manufacturing / Packaging)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Quality Manager to lead quality initiatives across our manufacturing and packaging operations. Reporting directly to the COO, you will be responsible for ensuring product excellence, food‑safety compliance, and continuous improvement throughout the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and continuously improve the Quality Management System (QMS) across all national manufacturing sites.
• Guarantee product quality, customer satisfaction and food‑safety compliance while driving operational excellence.
• Lead continuous improvement programmes and ensure adherence to regulatory, customer and certification requirements.
• Manage plant quality teams and oversee supplier quality management.
• Conduct audits, root‑cause analyses, risk assessments and health & safety oversight.
• Provide data analytics, reporting and governance for ISO 9001, FSSC 22000, HACCP, GMP and customer‑specific standards.

Required profile

• Relevant degree or diploma in Engineering, Quality Management, Polymer Technology, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• 8‑10 years of experience in manufacturing quality, including 5 years in senior quality leadership.
• Proven experience in plastics, packaging or FMCG (food & beverage) environments.

What we offer

• Competitive total‑remuneration package ranging from R500 000 to R850 000 per annum, inclusive of benefits and a 13th‑month cheque.
