Senior PV Technician

About the role

We are looking for a senior PV Technician to ensure the safe and reliable operation of utility-scale solar PV, battery energy storage and associated high-voltage equipment. The role involves hands-on fault finding, preventative maintenance and coordination with contractors and operations teams.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance, inspections and troubleshooting on solar PV, BESS and balance-of-system equipment.
• Manage work orders through a Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and ensure quality control of contractor work.
• Maintain and service inverters, switchgear, substations, PV modules, tracking systems, cabling and plant controllers.
• Document activities and support SCADA and asset management processes.

Required profile

• Trade Test as an Electrician and ORHVS certification.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in solar PV, electrical fault finding and high-voltage systems.
• Knowledge of substations, HV equipment, BESS, SCADA, CMMS and relevant NRS standards.
• National Higher Diploma (N6) or higher in Electrical Engineering (advantageous).
• Valid driver’s licence.
