Senior Project Manager – Luxury Interior Fit‑Out

About the role

A leading luxury interior fit‑out and construction firm is looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to oversee high‑value retail, hospitality, commercial and residential projects across South Africa. The role demands strong project leadership, rigorous cost control and a commitment to delivering premium quality on time.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full lifecycle of luxury interior fit‑out projects from award to practical completion.
• Lead multiple retail, commercial, hospitality and high‑end residential projects simultaneously.
• Develop and maintain detailed programmes, budgets and resource plans.
• Coordinate internal teams, subcontractors, suppliers, consultants and client representatives.
• Ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within budget and to the highest quality standards.
• Monitor progress, resolve design, procurement and site‑related challenges proactively.
• Control project financial performance, including cost control, forecasting and reporting.
• Conduct regular site visits and project meetings across South Africa.
• Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations, contractual obligations and company standards.
• Prepare and present progress reports to senior management and clients.
• Mentor junior project staff and drive continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Relevant qualification in Construction Management, Building, Quantity Surveying, Project Management, Interior Design or a related built‑environment discipline.
• 8–10 years of project management experience in interior fit‑out or construction.
• Proven experience managing retail and luxury residential fit‑out projects.
• Experience delivering high‑end commercial and hospitality projects is highly advantageous.
