Senior Project Manager (Hybrid Contract)

About the role

This hybrid contract position is with an established technology client operating in Cape Town (or Johannesburg). The Senior Project Manager will lead the planning and delivery of software projects, ensuring they meet business objectives and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines and resource plans based on business requirements.
• Manage day‑to‑day project activities, including task assignment, progress tracking and issue resolution.
• Identify, assess and mitigate risks; maintain an up‑to‑date RAID log.
• Track project budgets, optimise resource utilisation and proactively escalate deviations.
• Engage business and technical stakeholders, report progress, secure approvals and lead steering‑committee meetings.
• Ensure project governance aligns with organisational frameworks.

Required profile

• Degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• Project Management certification or diploma.
• Minimum 8 years of experience managing end‑to‑end Microsoft Dynamics 365 implementations or upgrades.
• Proven experience working in Agile environments.
• Comfortable managing project financials and cost tracking.
