Senior Professional Nurse – Day Clinic

About the role

The Senior Professional Nurse will support the Unit Manager in delivering safe, high‑quality care at a day clinic. This role combines direct patient care with mentorship of new and student nurses, ensuring a positive client experience.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive, safe patient care while mitigating clinical risks and meeting quality standards.
• Manage the client experience to ensure satisfaction and safety.
• Optimize staffing resources through effective supply, retention, and utilisation.
• Develop staff competence via continuous assessment, training, and mentorship.
• Assist in controlling operational expenses, including stock and capital management.

Required profile

• Professional Nurse qualification; postgraduate diploma in nursing for specialist units.
• Minimum 3 years of professional nursing experience in a hospital setting.
• At least 1 year of mentorship experience.
