Senior Outbound Sales Specialist (Remote)

About the role

Nexford is hiring a Senior Outbound Sales Specialist for a 100% remote, full-time contractor position based in South Africa. The role is phone-first and consultative, managing inbound and outbound calls mainly with prospective learners in the US and other international markets. It reports to the Sales Team Lead and starts as soon as possible.

Key responsibilities

• Spends 80% of the day on calls: outbound, inbound and follow-up.
• Owns the full sales cycle, from qualification and consultation through objection handling, follow-up and closing enrollments.
• Converts high-priority leads by understanding learners' goals and recommending the best-fitting program.
• Follows up persistently until a decision is made.
• Manages the pipeline across channels and responds within SLAs.
• Exceeds individual enrollment and revenue targets.
• Reviews sales interactions and calls to maintain and improve quality standards across the team.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing or a related field.
• 3+ years in consultative telesales or inbound/outbound sales; education, EdTech or SaaS experience is a bonus.
• Proven track record of exceeding sales targets in a KPI-driven environment.
• Strong written and spoken English, with good numerical reasoning and analytical skills.
