Senior Multimodal Controller

About the role

Our client is looking for a Senior Multimodal Controller to lead complex import and export operations across sea, air, and road freight. This senior position requires strong leadership, deep operational knowledge, and the ability to deliver seamless logistics solutions while mentoring junior staff.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate multimodal shipments from origin to destination.
• Manage and review shipment files to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Liaise with agents, clients, shipping lines, airlines, transporters, and service providers at senior level.
• Monitor shipment progress and proactively resolve operational challenges.
• Ensure all documentation is completed accurately and within strict deadlines.
• Provide advanced support for client queries and escalations.
• Mentor, train, and support junior controllers and operational staff.
• Maintain compliance with internal procedures, industry regulations, and quality standards.
• Contribute to process improvement, efficiency, and client satisfaction.

Required profile

• 7–10 years of freight forwarding or logistics experience with multimodal expertise.
• Advanced end‑to‑end process knowledge across air, sea, and road freight.
• Strong financial understanding of operational costing.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and client service abilities.
• Proven leadership, administrative, and organizational capabilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
