Senior Mobile Engineer – Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP) – Cape Town (Hybrid)

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Mobile Engineer to lead the design and evolution of a unified, globally‑scalable mobile platform for a leading health‑tech brand. The role focuses on delivering cross‑platform solutions using Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP) for both iOS and Android in a hybrid work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end delivery of shared KMP modules covering networking, domain, and business logic.
• Drive the transition from native codebases to a unified, modular architecture.
• Collaborate with engineering leadership to define architectural patterns and improve CI/CD pipelines.
• Mentor team members and reduce technical debt across the mobile stack.

Required profile

• 6+ years of professional mobile development experience.
• Hands‑on experience with shared‑code mobile environments, preferably Kotlin Multiplatform.
• Deep understanding of modularization, RESTful APIs, and cross‑platform architecture trade‑offs.
