Senior Mechanical Engineering Consultant

About the role

This senior consulting position is designed for an experienced mechanical engineer who wants to move beyond routine design tasks. You will partner with local and international engineering firms to enhance product design, engineering data management, and digital transformation initiatives across sectors such as manufacturing, mining, automotive, defence, and advanced engineering.

Key responsibilities

• Provide engineering consulting services, including CAD and process assessments.
• Help clients optimise design workflows, CAD standards, revision control, and documentation.
• Support implementation of engineering data‑management solutions, PDM/PLM systems, and digital transformation projects.
• Assist with deployments of SOLIDWORKS, SOLIDWORKS PDM, 3DEXPERIENCE, and SIMULIA tools.
• Create and review CAD models, drawings, BOMs, and technical documentation, applying Design for Manufacturing principles.
• Deliver technical presentations, workshops, and training sessions to client teams.

Required profile

• Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering degree.
• 5–7+ years of experience in mechanical design, product development, or manufacturing engineering.
• Strong CAD background, preferably with SOLIDWORKS.
• Solid understanding of drawings, BOMs, revision control, and design release processes.
• Proven ability to work directly with customers, engineering managers, and technical teams.
• Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and project delivery skills.
