Senior Marketing Manager – Wound Care (Cape Town/Johannesburg)

About the role

We are seeking a driven Senior Marketing Manager to own and grow our wound‑care portfolio across South Africa. You will combine clinical credibility with strategic marketing expertise to shape brand positioning, drive product adoption and support the sales team.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the marketing strategy, brand positioning and annual plan for the wound‑care portfolio.
• Translate clinical evidence and product data into compliant marketing campaigns, sales tools and content.
• Partner with sales to deliver training, product launches and in‑field support.
• Build and maintain relationships with clinicians, KOLs and decision‑makers in both public and private sectors.
• Lead go‑to‑market plans for new product launches and monitor market trends, competitor activity and tender opportunities.
• Manage portfolio budgets, forecasts and report on ROI.
• Represent the company at congresses, exhibitions and clinical events.
• Collaborate with global marketing teams to localise brand strategy for South Africa.
• Mentor junior marketing team members where applicable.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, nursing or a related healthcare field.
• 5+ years of marketing experience in medical devices, pharmaceuticals or healthcare, with at least 2 years in a senior or portfolio‑management role.
• Strong clinical knowledge of wound care and proven product/brand management results.
• Deep understanding of the South African public‑sector healthcare environment and tender processes.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and presentation skills.
• Willingness to travel as required.
