Senior Manufacturing Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to lead process development, optimization and standardization within our manufacturing operations. The role focuses on improving productivity, quality and cost performance while driving continuous improvement and technical leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Lead manufacturing process development, optimization, and standardization, and maintain standard work instructions.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and cost performance.
• Conduct root cause analysis for production losses, quality issues and equipment failures using structured problem‑solving methods.
• Support PLC‑based automation, MES, End‑of‑Line testing, RFID and torque control systems, and troubleshoot equipment failures.
• Manage equipment industrialization and new product launch activities, coordinating supplier installations, commissioning and validation.
• Analyse production KPIs (MTTR, MTBF, downtime, scrap, First Time Through) and implement data‑driven improvement actions.
• Coach and mentor manufacturing engineers and technicians, develop troubleshooting guides and engineering standards.
• Engage with suppliers to strengthen internal technical capability and reduce dependency.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or equivalent.
• 7+ years of manufacturing experience in a production environment.
• 5+ years of direct engineering experience in a sewing or automotive manufacturing setting.
• Strong understanding of Quality Core Tools (APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, MSA, SPC).
• Proven experience in manufacturing process optimization and industrial engineering.
