Senior Manager: Sustainability Integration and Reporting

About the role

Old Mutual is seeking a Senior Manager to lead the integration of environmental, social and governance (ESG) policies and to own the end‑to‑end sustainability reporting function. The role ensures that the Group’s three sustainability pillars work together to deliver a coherent story and meet all internal and external reporting obligations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and oversee ESG and sustainability policies, ensuring alignment with standards and Group ambitions.
• Lead the production of Sustainability & Climate reports, ESG data disclosures, and ratings agency submissions.
• Implement data collection tools, analytics, and assurance processes to improve data accuracy and embed reporting into business‑as‑usual.
• Identify material ESG issues, emerging trends, and associated risks in collaboration with the Risk function.
• Provide guidance on compliance with reporting frameworks such as GRI, SASB, JSE, IFRS S1/S2 and King V.
• Collaborate with sustainability leads, compliance, and risk teams to continuously improve policies and execution.

Required profile

• Senior‑level professional with extensive experience in ESG integration, sustainability reporting and policy development.
• Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and present high‑impact insights to board and executive committees.
• Strong understanding of ESG standards, ratings agencies and regulatory requirements.

Required skills

• Knowledge of ESG reporting frameworks (GRI, SASB, IFRS S1/S2, King V, JSE).
• Data analytics and reporting tools for ESG data collection, validation and visualization.
• Experience with internal assurance processes for ESG disclosures.
