Senior Manager: Refineries

About the role

The Senior Manager will lead production and commercial activities at a refinery, ensuring safe and efficient output that meets planned quantity and quality. The role involves managing multi‑shift teams, coordinating resources, and driving continuous‑improvement projects across the plant.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain production and commercial operations to meet output targets.
• Manage all aspects of the plant’s process and commercial activities, ensuring safety and efficiency.
• Coordinate labour, equipment, and services for multiple shifts.
• Oversee continuous‑improvement initiatives and project execution.
• Review and recommend approval of operating budgets, forecasts, and capex budgets.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, codes of practice, and industry standards.
• Facilitate technology transfer and cross‑functional support.

Required profile

• Proven experience in refinery or large‑scale industrial operations.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage multi‑shift teams.
• Solid understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and capital‑expenditure processes.
• Track record of driving continuous‑improvement projects.
• Knowledge of safety regulations, industry codes, and standards.
• Experience in project execution and technology transfer.
