Senior Manager: Communication (Human Capital)

About the role

The Senior Manager – Communication (Human Capital) leads the design and delivery of internal communication and employee engagement programmes that support the bank’s People Strategy and cultural transformation. Working within a digitally enabled Human Capital model, the role uses data, storytelling and technology to keep staff informed, inspired and aligned with the organisation’s purpose.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute internal communication strategies that reinforce group HC priorities, transformation programmes and cultural initiatives.
• Design and run employee engagement campaigns, town‑hall events, recognition programmes and listening initiatives across hybrid and remote work settings.
• Create and manage content for newsletters, intranet, videos and other channels, ensuring consistent tone, branding and messaging.
• Partner with HC Centres of Excellence, business units and senior leaders to align messaging and support key engagements.
• Drive digital innovation by exploring AI, automation, chatbots, pulse surveys and video platforms, and leveraging analytics to personalise communication.
• Monitor communication performance, analyse metrics and continuously improve reach and relevance.

Required profile

• Senior‑level professional with proven experience in internal communications and employee engagement.
• Strong understanding of Human Capital strategies and ability to translate them into compelling narratives.
• Experience working in a large, complex organisation, preferably within the banking or financial services sector.
• Excellent stakeholder management and collaboration skills.
